Library Card Design Contest
To celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month this September, we’re excited to launch our Library Card Design Contest! This is a fantastic opportunity for residents to showcase their creativity and express what the library means to them. Join us in promoting the value of having a library card and participate for a chance to have your design featured on our limited edition library cards to debut during National Library Week in April.
Guidelines:
Entries will be judged by staff and the community on originality, reproducibility, and how well the design expresses what the library means to you.
- All entries must be clear and depict original images; please no copyrighted or AI generated images. Submissions with 3D elements will not be accepted.
- Do not include personal information; inappropriate content will cause submissions to be disqualified.
- Any resident of Allegany County or any out-of-state resident with a valid ACLS library card is eligible to participate.
Winners:
- Two finalists from each age group will be chosen through a public poll, and then one winner from each group will be selected by ACLS staff.
- All finalists will receive a library swag bag, a free replacement card with the winning design, and unending bragging rights! Finalists will be showcased at the LaVale Library and the winning designs will be available at all ACLS Libraries during National Library Week, while supplies last.
Return your design to any ACLS Branch or submit a digital design below by Friday, October 4. One entry per person.
*Please print single sided and set to “Actual Size” so the card template is to scale.
Entries become property of ACLS. Winner’s name may appear on promotions including, but not limited to social media, the library website, newspaper, and other communications.
