Sidewalk Pick-up Service
Sidewalk pick-up services are available Monday – Thursday from 2:30-5:00 PM at the Frostburg, George’s Creek, South Cumberland, Washington Street, and Westernport Libraries. LaVale Library is closed for renovation.
How to use Sidewalk Pick-up Service:
Telephone service is available Monday through Thursday 10:30 AM – 5:30.
Step 2: Library staff will contact you via phone once your item has arrived to arrange a day and time for pick-up. Please contact your library if you need to update your phone contact information.
Step 3: On the day arranged, arrive at the library and wait at the social distancing markers in front of the sidewalk service area while staff provide further instructions and prepare your order. Please wear your face mask and maintain 6-feet between yourself and others. Face masks are required for all sidewalk service interactions.
Step 4: Staff will notify you when it is safe to approach the table and retrieve your order. You will be able to check out up to 10 items per visit.
Step 5: Enjoy your items and please take all returns to the book drops. Staff will not be able to accept returns at the sidewalk service area. Please remove items from bags and containers before placing in the drop. The library will NOT be accepting donations at this time.
Sidewalk service will be for request pick-up only. Traditional reference desk services (answering reference questions, finding and making item requests) will be done via telephone service.
Please note that delivery of materials may be delayed due to the safety enhancements we have in place.
The library reserves the right to cancel or limit curbside service due to rain or other conditions.
