Lego Play

Frostburg Family Lego Play – Second and fourth Thursdays of the month from 6:00 – 7:00 PM

South Cumberland Family Lego Play – First Wednesday of the month from 6:00 -7:00 PM

Each month will feature a different LEGO building theme. Children’s masterpieces may be chosen to be displayed in our library. The library will supply the LEGOs, and kids provide their creativity and imagination. Building their own LEGO creations encourages children to think, build, and play creatively.

Creating with Legos develops problem solving and mathematical thinking. Following instructions to assemble Legos also has many benefits for children’s problem solving, focus, and attention to detail. Children experience working with fractions when they observe how many small pieces can fit into a large piece and can begin to experiment with division.
