Dr. FrankenMaker's Lab: Bring Your Creature To Life!

When: Thursday, May 23, 2019 - 5:00 PM
Where: Washington Street Library at Children's Room

Dr. FrankenMaker invites you to his lab to explore the newest technology to bring your creatures to life! Young FrankenMakers first design their creature in TinkerCAD, following the specific parameters set by Dr. FrankenMaker himself. Once the designing is finished, each creature is sent to the 3-D printer to be brought to life!** FrankenMakers also have the opportunity to travel into virtual reality through Oculus Rift to sculpt and paint using "Medium."

This program is a cutting edge STEAM program designed to introduce kids to art and technology that is not only fascinating and fun, but associated with growth industries, such as movies, game design, virtual reality, engineering and additive manufacturing.

**Creatures will be ready for pick-up at the library of participation or at the Allegany Arts Council within a week.

This free program is offered by the Allegany Arts Council with support from United Way, Allegany Public Library System, and the Maryland State Arts Council.
