Volunteer at the Library

ACLS welcomes and appreciates individuals who want to give their time to support our mission. Volunteers play a vital role in helping us serve the community, and we strive to provide a meaningful and rewarding experience in return. We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities for individuals age 13 and older. Whether you’re looking to fulfill service hours, explore career interests, or simply give back, we’d love to have you on board!

  • Volunteers must be at least 13 years old and complete a volunteer application form.
  • All applications are reviewed by Human Resources and library staff to determine placement based on library needs.
  • Approved volunteers will receive training, a tour of the branch, and a volunteer badge.
  • Volunteers may assist with a variety of tasks but do not handle patron records or check materials in or out.

Please note: Current ACLS employees may not volunteer. Internships and partnerships follow the same guidelines as our volunteer program.
